Arthelene Rippy was born into the home of Rev. and Mrs. R.A. McClure.
At a very early age she was involved in the family ministries which
included pastoring, evangelistic crusades and radio.
Arthelene married Evangelist Don Rippy and their travels took them
nationwide and beyond, however their dream was to settle down one day
and build a large church. The dream came true when they accepted the
call of a small congregation at the FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH in
St. Petersburg, Florida. After five years of outstanding growth,
FIRST ASSEMBLY became SONCOAST CATHEDRAL and ST. PETERSBURG
CHRISTIAN SCHOOL.
Arthelene's husband was a minister whose gifts made him known as a camp
meeting evangelist, pulpit orator and one of the nation's most
progressive pastors. Tragedy took him to despair, divorce, and death.
Through this time, Arthelene held on to God for her life, her home,
her sanity and her faith.
She is a recording artist and one of the original DISCOVERY SINGERS
on the international television program, DAY OF DISCOVERY. SOLO ACT,
her television program for singles has won three SILVER ANGEL AWARDS
from RELIGION IN MEDIA in Hollywood, California. She was a designated
speaker for DR. BILLY GRAHAM'S NORTH AMERICAN CONFERENCE FOR
ITINERANT EVANGELIST and the keynote speaker for WOMEN'S AGLOW
NATIONAL CONFERENCE in Canada. She has taught Bible classes for many
years and is a frequent speaker for minister's retreats, women's
seminars, singles ministries as well as church services for all
denominations.
Her son Michael is Senior Pastor of EVANGEL TEMPLE in Montgomery,
Alabama and her daughter Meredith is a professional harpist in Tampa,
Florida.
Arthelene now travels in ministry throughout the United States and
beyond. Her testimony has made a dramatic difference in ministries,
saved families and has impacted the life of thousands.
